totalcontrast

Total Contrast was formed by Robin Achampong and Delroy Murray. They originally started out making reggae-music in the early 1980's. They changed to dancemusic with the release of 'Be with you tonight' on their own record label. In 1985, producer Steve Harvey discovered them and boosted their career with tracks like 'Hit and run', and the catching 'Takes a little time'. There was a special UK pressing of 'Hit and run', which included a free "basement" version of 'Sunshine' and 'Next time I'll know better'. In 1990, Total Contrast produced and wrote for the london based trio Tongue 'n' Cheek, whose album 'This is...' was produced under Total Contrast's nicknames Bootsie (Robin) and Snudge (Delroy).
