Ávila
Ávila lies about 100 km northwest of Madrid. It's a small quiet town and its main attraction are its defensive Romanesque city-walls, which are extremely well preserved.
There are several hotels and campsites in and around Ávila. Food is available from the numerous bars and restaurants in town. The city has rail and road connections with most other Spanish cities. Ávila is in Castilla y León, 85 km northwest of Madrid.
