Narcisse
The town of Narcisse lies in the province of Manitoba, 90 km north of Winnipeg and 1705 km west of Ottawa. The province of Manitoba is home to thousands of red-sided garter snakes and 6 km from town is the Narcisse Wildlife Management Area, where you can see the dens where these snakes spend the winter. The snakes are most active during the spring mating season in April and May; and in September, when they return to their dens.
