Birni Nkonni
Birni Nkonni is a border town, 340 km east of Niamey. There is nothing of interest, but it's a good place to stop over before heading into Nigeria. There are several hotels and a campsite in Berni Nkonni. Food can be bought from the food stalls along the main street and around the Gare Routière.
The town of Madaoua, 90 km eastwards, however, is a much better alternative, if you want to spend a few days in the area.
