Bodrum
Bodrum is a major tourist resort in the South Aegean. It has a nice yacht harbor, where boat trips to the Greek islands of Kos and Rhodes are available. Activities that are widely promoted include Boating, water skiing, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving.
Accommodation is widely available, but expect it to be noisy even during the night, as Bodrum's many bars and disco's blare music out on the streets until sunrise, after which the usual daytime noises take over. If you complain to locals about the noise they will say: 'If you wanted a quiet holiday, you shouldn't have come to Bodrum'. Bodrum is 565 km southwest of Ankara.
