Boulder City

Boulder is a residential city in southern Nevada, just west of Hoover Dam and not far from Lake Mead. The federal government built the city was in1932 as headquarters during the dam's construction. In 1958, it became a self-governing municipality by act of Congress. It is a year-round tourist center and the headquarters of Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

There are many hotels and restaurants in town. Boulder City is 570 km southeast from Carson City and 3360 km west from Washington D.C.
