Brockton
Brockton was settled around 1700. In 1821 it was set off from Bridgewater and in 1881 it was incorporated as a city. The city used to have a large shoe and leather products industry, but nowadays textiles, clothing, machinery and machine tools, plastics and electrical and electronic equipment are produced there. In Brockton, you will find an art center and a historic museum. Not far from town is a state park.
