The town of Ceský Krumlov is one of the most picturesque towns in the Bohemian region. It has a beautiful historical center, which is dominated by a castle. The castle is the second largest one in the Czech Republic. From the castle there are excellent views over Ceský Krumlov and the surrounding area.
The entire historical center of Ceský Krumlov is traffic-free and the streets have cobbled streets, lined with beautiful Renaissance- and Baroque style buildings. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992.
Especially for tourists, many people in Ceský Krumlov wear Renaissance costumes. Mock duels, as well as street theatres are staged frequently. There are several hotels and restaurants in Ceský Krumlov. The town is 145 km south of Praha (Prague).
