Cochabamba

Cochabamba was founded in 1574 by the Spanish to serve as the region's granary. It lies in a beautiful green valley in the center of Bolivia. Cochabamba is the largest market town in the country and it is said that is has the most perfect climate in the world. There are several interesting sight in Cochabamba, including the 16th-century cathedral, the Convento de Santa Teresa and the Museo Arqueológico.

There are several hotels and restaurants in Cochabamba. The town is 230 km southeast of La Paz and 205 km northwest of Sucre.
