Eshowe

Eshowe is a small town, 485 km southeast of Pretoria. There is a museum in Eshowe that is housed in a fort dating from the times of the Anglo-Boer War. During that War, the British made several trails through the area. Some of these trail still exist and for example in the Dlinza Forest Reserve you can walk them. In the park you can see several animal species. The nearby forest of Nkandla is also very interesting

There are several hotels and restaurants in Eshowe. North of Eshowe is the beautiful Nkwaleni Valley.
