Hooiberg

Hooiberg ('haystack') is a strangely shaped volcanic formation that is visible from most parts of Aruba, despite their modest size. The views from the top of the 165 m (545 feet) conical hill are excellent. Steps have been carved out of the rocks, so the Hooiberg is easily accessed.

The area around Hooiberg consists of parched scrubs and cacti.

Hooiberg is 6 km east of Oranjestad.
