Ilha do Príncipe (Príncipe Island)

Príncipe is connected to the main island of São Tomé by sea and air. Ferries are very infrequent and erratic though. The island of Príncipe is very small and not often visited by foreigners. The capital of Príncipe is Santo António, which is similar to São Tomé, but much smaller Most buildings are in an advanced state of dilapidation.

There are several hotels and pensãos in São António. Transportation around the island is by taxi, but everything is within walking distance so there is no need to use them.
