Jamnagar

Jamnagar is best known for the Bala Hanuman Temple, where devotees have been chanting 'Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram'\ for 24 hours, uninterrupted, ever since 1964. In the evenings chai and kulfi stalls spring up and people promenade through the area.

There are numerous hotels and hostels in Jamnagar, but most are of dubious quality, especially the ones near the railway station should be avoided. Jamnagar has train connections with Ahmedabad, Mumbai (Bombay) and Dwarka and buses run to Rajkot and Porbandar. Jamnagar is on the Gulf of Kachchh, 1000 km southwest of Delhi.
