Kykko Monastery
The Kykko Monastery lies in the western part of the Troodos Massif. It is the most popular monastery on Cyprus and it can get very busy with tourists visiting. It was built in the 12th century and has been marvelously restored. There is a museum where numerous religious icons and other items used by the monks are on display. In one corner of the premises there is an orthodox church. You are not allowed to visit this monastery in shorts.
