Lijiang
Lijiang is an old town in the north of China's Yunnan province. The area is inhabited by the Naxi, whose rich culture has left its traces in Lijiang. There are numerous temples, decorated with beautiful frescoes, as well as a colorful market.
Not far from Lijiang is the Leaping Tiger Gorge, which is in an excellent trekking area.
Lijiang is 2090 km southwest of Beijing. Accommodation is available in town.
