Lovina

Lovina is a popular beach resort on Bali's northern coast. It was developed later than the resorts of Kuta and Legian and at a slower rate. As a result Lovina is a relaxed place, free of hassles. Lovina's beaches consist of black volcanic sand. The reefs, not far out, are excellent for snorkeling and scuba diving. You can hire boats to get out to the reef and while you are there you'll probably see some dolphins.

Not far from Lovina are several beautiful waterfalls, temples and craft centers. Day trips to the Bali Barat National Park are available in Lovina.

There are many hotels and restaurants in Lovina. The town is 60 km north of Denpasar and some 945 km east of Jakarta. Lovina is easily accessible by bemo.
