Máriapócs
Máriapócs is a small but important place of pilgrimage. The towns boasts a marvelous Greek Catholic church, which houses the huge Weeping Black Madonna. The ornate iconostasis sits on a prominent place above the altar. The icon is a 19th-century copy of the one that is kept in Saint Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna (Austria).
There are several hotels and restaurants in Máriapócs. The town is 230 km east of Budapest.
