M'Baïki

M'Baïki lies in a timber and coffee growing area, 90 km southwest of Bangui, and is the home of the Lobaye people and pygmies. There are some smaller pygmy settlements in the area that are popular tourist destinations.

Ebony can be purchased in Ábonistes, 10 km (6 miles) northeast of M'Baïki, where the men in the village carve the ebony. You will have to bargain hard for a decent price. The small waterfall near M'Baïki is also worth a visit.

M'Baïki is served by bush taxi from Bangui.
