Animals that roam the park include buffalos, cheetahs, elephants, gazelles, giraffes, hyenas, leopards, lions, rhinos, wart hogs and zebras.
The best camp site in the park sits at the lake on the bottom of the crater of Gof Sokorte Guda. it is called Lake paradise and its location is just beautiful.
The towns of Marsabit and Choba both lie inside the park. The towns have bus connections with Isiolo in the south and Moyale in the north.
