Masulé

Masulé is one of the most scenic of the traditional villages in the Gilan province. The town is not far from the Caspian Sea and sits at an altitude of 1050 m (3444 feet). It has a refreshing climate and stunning surroundings. Masulé is built against a very steep slope, so steep actually that there are no streets, instead the flat roofs of many houses serve as a pathway for the level of buildings above them.

There is very little accommodation in Masulé. The trip from Tehran to Rasht and further on to Masulé takes you through some spectacular scenic areas.

Because of the current situation in Iran it is not recommended to travel to Masulé, or any other destination in Iran at this moment.
