Mohe

China's northernmost town holds the country's record lowest temperature of -52°C. During the winter you can see northern lights (aurora borealis) quite frequently. This stunning natural wonder is something you shouldn't miss when you are in northern China during the winter months.

You can get to Mohe by bus from Gulian, 40 km to the south. Gulian has rail connections with Jagdaqi in Inner Mongolia and further on.

There is some accommodation in Mohe. The town sits on the Russian border, 1545 km north of Beijing.
