Palmse
One of the most interesting structures in Lahemaa National Park is the 18th-century baroque manor house at Palmse. In the center of Palmse is also a restored 17th-century distillery, hotel and granary. Every other year, in even numbered years, the Viru Säru folk music and dance festival is held in Palmse, during the first week of July.
Not far north of Palmse is the town of Käsmu, where you can visit the interesting maritime museum, which is housed in old Soviet Coast Guard barracks.
Palmse is not far from Lahemaa National Park's eastern edge, 70 km east of Tallinn.
