Pinnacles Desert
The Pinnacles Desert includes the Nambung National Park, a flat and sandy terrain, which is punctuated with peculiar limestone pillars, some of which are 5 m high. The best time to visit the park is between August and October, early in the morning when the light is soft and the wildflowers are blooming.
You can get to the park by via an unsealed road from the port of Cervantes. You might need a 4WD vehicle when it has been raining, as the rainwater often damages the road. The Pinnacles Desert is 300 km northeast of Perth and 2900 km northwest of Canberra.
