Praslin Island

Praslin Island is the second largest island of the Seychelles. It has some excellent beaches, of which the one at Anse Lazio is probaly the best one in the whole country. The Vallée de Mai is a prehistoric palm forest that is listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Praslin Island is some 40 km northeast of Mohé Island. There are several hotels and restaurants on Praslin Island, most of them in Grand Anse. Transportation around the island is by bus. Praslin Island has boat and air connections with Mahé Island. Trips to Cousin Island can be arranged from Praslin Island.
