Sierra Nevada

The Sierra Nevada is a mountain range in the southeast of Spain. During the summer the mountains are excellent for hiking, while in the winter months the whole area is taken over by skiers. The highest peak on the Iberic Peninsula, 3481 m high Pico Mulacén, is also situated in the Sierra Nevada.
Accommodation is available in Sol y Nieve, which is 2,100 meters up the mountains of in Granada at the foot of the Sierra Nevada.
