Sochi (Сочи)

Sochi is a Black Sea resort with a nice subtropical climate. The seawater is quite warm most of the year, but it can get very busy with tourists during the summer. Especially the trendy complex of Dagomys is very popular with Russians, as well as foreign tourists.

Sochi has always been the place where Russia's powerful and famous used to retreat in their dachas (country houses). Not far from Sochi, in the hills are several waterfalls and spa towns. The views from the hilltops are excellent.

There are numerous hotels, bars and restaurants in Sochi. The city is in the southwest of Russia, km south of Moscow.
