The Pampas

Argentina's agricultural center is formed by the Pampas, a large area that covers the provinces of Buenos Aires, La Pampa and most of Santa Fe and Córdoba. Argentina's national symbol, gaucho, is also found there. In the Pampas you will find both forests and grasslands, as well as hills. Along the coast, thousands of flamingoes roam the salt lakes.

There are many interesting cities in the area, including La Plata, Luján, Rosario and Santa Fe. In all of these cities are interesting museums and nice colonial buildings. Also worth a visit is the Parque Nacional Lihué Calel, where you can see puma.
