Tremiti Islands
The Tremiti Islands consists of the three islands of San Domino, San Nicola and Capraia, 35 km off the northern coast of the Gargano Peninsula. All three islands are quite undeveloped.
The most interesting one is San Nicola, where you can see the 11th-century Church of Santa Maria, which features a black Madonna and interesting floor mosaics. The church was founded by Benedictine monks.
On the island of San Domino are nice beaches and beautiful coves and caves.
Accommodation is available on all of the Tremiti Islands.
