Versailles lies in Île de France, close to Paris. The famous Château de Versailles, the grandest palace in France, is located there. Louis XIV constructed it around 1650. The building is massive and it includes hundreds of decadently adorned rooms. During your visit you will walk through grand halls, bedchambers and the 75-meter-long Hall of Mirrors. Outside there are enormous gardens with numerous fountains and pools.
