Ngonye Falls

The Ngonye Falls only drop several meters, but their broad expanse causes them to be a spectacular sight. The surrounding area is nice and quiet and the nearby Sioma Ngwezi National Park is well worth a visit. White water rafting can be arranged on a stretch of the Zambezi River just below the falls.

The Ngonye Falls are 520 km southwest of Lusaka. The bus that runs between Mongu and Sesheke on the Namibian border can drop you off, several hundred meters west of the falls, but it is much less hassle if you come with your own transportation. Accommodation is available in several towns near the falls, such as Samango and Sipobole.
