Norwich

Norwich is one of the most complete medieval cities in England. The center of town is formed by the Norman castle, which was founded in the 13th century and the great Anglo-Norman cathedral. All other buildings were constructed around these two. The city walls are remarkably well preserved and within them you will find over 30 parish churches. On one side the city is protected by the River Wensum.

Norwich is the county 'town' of Norfolk and an important student city. It is a little bit off the tourist route, so it is nice and quite even in the summer. The surrounding area boasts the Norfolk Braods, a system of inland waterways, several nature reserves and a fantastic coastline.

There are several hotels and restaurants in Norwich. The city is 160 km northeast of London.
